Netball Volunteer - Department of Sport & Recreation

Jackie has spent much of her life playing netball but like many of us, after leaving the sport to have a family she decided to return to the game in a different role – that of an umpire. Her belief is that she gets just as much out of giving to the sport as she gets in return – now surely that’s a great reason to become a volunteer.

I’d never been to Malaysia’s Highlands until my last trip. First port of call - The Genting Highlands. The drive up is beautiful and with each meter you climb the colder it becomes, the denser the rainforest and the thicker the cloud. The Skyway cable takes you higher still – up to the City in the Clouds 1800m above sea level. Amazing – this really is a city in the clouds.
